Description

1983 Honda Magna V65 1100cc
6 speed manual
“The Widow Maker”
POWER CRUISER
GARAGE KEPT FOR ITS ENTIRE LIFE!
No rust
No body damage (no dings, no dents)
This motorcycle is in excellent condition!
Possibly the LOWEST MILEAGE 1983 v65 in the United States, Canada, and the world!
I have owned it 3 years and barely put 200 miles on it.
Owner before me rarely drove it.
Replaced seals and rebuilt the carb and she was good to go.
I am asking more for this bike than most v65s.
Here is why…
This is the much desired 1983 model.
Motorcycle magazines documented the 1984 models and beyond putting 20 hp less down to the wheels, indicating a cult belief that the bike was detuned after 1983 by Honda to make it safer and less likely for people to injure themselves with the lower horsepower levels.
The bike quickly got the nickname of the “Widow Maker” and Honda did not want to feed into this from a marketing prospective, or even one of honor (a japanese culture).
Although this did have the desired effect, i prefer to choose how much horsepower i want to use with each crack of the throttle.
For that reason, and due to others sharing my belief on this matter, the 1983 v65 is a sought after bike.
And this is the LOWEST MILEAGE version of that bike known to exist for sale, inside or outside of a museum.
1,098cc liquid-cooled, 90-degree V4 with four overhead camshafts
ComCast alloy wheels, TRAC anti-dive fork, self-cancelling turn signals, gear position indicator, taillight failure warning light and Honda’s Fiber Optic Integrated Lock anti-theft system.
Bike is for sale for $5,500.
Low ball offers will immediately be met with ridicule and shame, and my wife and i will chide and gaffaw and talk bad about you as we watch 30 Rock and The Big Bang Theory.
Bike runs great. Here’s a youtube link to a video of the bike running:
